Fees

APFS receives brokerage from the institutions whose products are purchased by Steven’s clients. In addition APFS may charge a fee for the following services:

  • Conducting an employee benefit programme analysis
  • Design and implementation of your strategy
  • Providing an ongoing review and management service

The fee will be based on our current hourly rate or an agreed performance basis. Full details of all fees and charges you may incur are detailed in our Letter of Engagement. No fee will be charged without your prior agreement.

Know Your Rights

Before beginning any discussions with an APFS adviser, it is important to us that you clearly understand what you can expect from the relationship.

You have the right to know about brokerage and other benefits we receive as a result of transacting business on your behalf. We will provide you with details of any brokerage payable with respect to securities recommendations when these are made. We will explain all fees and charges to you in writing.

You do not have to divulge any information you feel is irrelevant, or is personal, in relation to any “fact finding” we may undertake with you. We conduct such fact finds to discover your needs and objectives and use the information to formulate your estate and/or financial plan. We will advise you of the consequences of not divulging this information if you choose not to supply it.

We will fully explain the risks involved in any investment strategy we may recommend.

You may at any time, see the records we keep on your client file.

You have the right to specify how we buy and sell investments on your behalf. These methods of doing business are established during our planning process.

If You Are Not Happy With Our Service

It is important to us that you are happy with our service. If you are dissatisfied, we recommend you firstly discuss the situation with Steven. If the situation is not resolved to your satisfaction, you should contact the Compliance Manager atAPFS on (02) 8876 3400, or in writing to Locked Bag 26, Epping, NSW, 1710.

In the event that the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, you have the right to lodge your complaint with the Financial Industry Complaints Service (FICS). They can be contacted on 1800 335 405, or, at Level 18,31 Queen Street Melbourne, Victoria , 3000.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission also have a free call infoline service for investors. The number is 1300 300 630.
